Mrs. Nehring is the Director of True North Homeschool Academy. She is loved by parents for her ability to provide them with a strategic plan for their homeschool through coaching and advising. Her vision for the implementation of the SAMR Method of education to the homeschool world has resulted in a one-of-a-kind education experience at TNHA. She also operates It’s Not That Hard to Homeschool and Blue Collar Homeschooling.

Dr. Kristin Moon
High School Teacher | Dr. Moon is the creator of the Kristin Moon Science curriculum. She teaches Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Math Skills for Chemistry, and Anatomy & Physiology through True North Homeschool Academy.
Adam Pruzan
Adam Pruzan teaches High School Politics, Philosophy, and Economics.

Catalina Garcia
Catalina Garcia teaches Spanish and elementary math at True North Homeschool Academy. Parents say, ” I highly recommend Mrs. Garcia’s Spanish classes! She is an enthusiastic teacher and her excitement for the language is evident in the way she interacts with the students. Monica Gonzalez
She has served for several years as a Missionary in Reynosa Mexico but has recently returned to her hometown in Pachuca Hidalgo Mexico to continue serving and teaching Spanish live and online for True North Homeschool Academy as well as in person at Orale Spanish School in Mexico.
Monica teaches Spanish Level I & Level II along with Level 3 & 4 for high schoolers and level A for Elementary Students through True North Homeschool Academy.

Laura Nolette
Laura studied mathematics, computer science, and art at George Mason University and Old Dominion University as well as music at Seminole State College. She believes strongly in continuing education. Whether pursuing a degree or just more skills, there is always something new to learn!
Laura teaches Science Exploration A, Science Exploration B, and Introduction to Computer Science.

Melissa Grande
Melissa is a graduate of the University of Valley Forge with a bachelor’s in Education. During her undergraduate studies, she concentrated on both Music and English. She also has pursued post-graduate work in the field of Environmental Science. Parents say, “Melissa Grande has changed the trajectory of our homeschooling – she is amazing!”

Carrie Holland
Carrie has a Bachelor of Science in Education. Having taught all ages in multiple countries, her skills adapt quickly to each student’s needs. In addition, Carrie has instructed public, private, adult, English as a Second Language (ESL), and home-schooled students. Specifically teaching literacy skills for over 15 years, Carrie has had many students excel under her tutelage. Ms.Holland teaches Spelling and Grammar 1 and Spelling and Grammar 2. Additionally, Carrie teaches Adapted US and Adapted World History.

Meredith Curtis
Meredith has a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from the University of Delaware. She has written over 70 books: conversational textbooks, high school courses, unit studies, Bible studies, workbooks, lapbooks, cookbooks, timelines, history parties, cozy mysteries, and how-to-homeschool.
Meredith is a writer, speaker, and curriculum creator with Powerline Productions and teaches History & Geography, Literature and Composition courses such as: Who Dun It, through True North Homeschool Academy.
Angie Ferrell
Mrs. Ferrell enjoyed a 15-year career in Human Services before she answered the call to become a home educator. For the past 15 years, she successfully homeschooled her two children to graduation, founded a local home school support group, and created a non-profit classical co-op, all while pursuing various other vocations, including tutoring high schoolers and teaching Special Education at a cottage school. She has a bachelor’s degree in Social Psychology and a master’s Degree in Education from Park University, where she studied eLearning, curriculum design, and training program development.
Mrs. Ferrell teaches High School American History, Writing, Literature and Composition, Psychology, and Adapted High School History classes.

Dawn Pasley
Dawn has a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. She has taught 4th and 5th grade Math and Science in a public school and worked as a Children’s Librarian for five years. Recenlty, she taught online English and ESL classes to international students. She loves teaching True North students!

Gina Steffy
Mrs. Steffy is the marketing director for True North Homeschool Academy and teaches Entrepreneurship in our high school program, where students learn the ins and outs of starting and running a business during the gig economy and 4th industrial revolution.

Bj Pramann
BJ Pramann is a self-taught artist from Sioux Falls South Dakota who has been teaching art through home school co-ops and private tutoring for over eight years. She teaches the ever-popular Art I and II to True North students and will be offering Form and Color in the fall of 2021-22.
For seven years she curated a three-day Christian art gallery for LifeLight, a music and evangelism ministry based in South Dakota, and currently travels with the ministry as a live event speed painter at LifeLight festivals held throughout the Midwest and internationally as well as for special events.

Dana Hanley
She has a Bachelor of Arts in Germanic Languages and Literature from the University of Kansas. She graduated with distinction. During her junior year in high school, she received a Congress-Bundestag scholarship to become an exchange student for one academic year in Germany. She also did a year of graduate work a the Christian Albrechts University in Kiel, Germany on scholarship where she concentrated on curriculum development. Parents say, “Why would I take a class taught by Dana? What does she have to offer that makes this class better than others I’m considering? That is probably what you are thinking if you are looking at this site and I’m here to help you decide, why given the choice, I would choose Dana’s class EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.”
Dana teaches German I, German 2, German 3/4, the Art of German Filmmaking, and the Expedition series.
Rebecca Lundgren
Her background includes a B.S. degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education from South Dakota State University. Before she began her homeschool journey, she taught in Public Schools k-12, English as a Second Language (ESL) k-6, and directed an Early Childhood program.
Rebecca teaches Earth & Space Science, Informal Logic and World Geography through True North Homeschool Academy.
Beth Purcell
teacher, she has worked with all types of learners. Mrs. Purcell is a registered certified instructor
with the Institute of Excellence in Writing (IEW).

Deirdre Mansel
Deirdre is veteran who served in the United States Air Force repairing the weather equipment used by the Hurricane Hunters. She also served in the Army for a period of five years and is now medically retired. Deirdre holds a Master of Education in Special Education and a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy. She has worked as a special education teacher as a high school co-teacher and in adapted curriculum teaching students with autism, traumatic brain injury and Down syndrome. She has a passion for helping students overcome challenges in education.
Julia Jinks
Julia Jinks has a Bachelor of Science in Communications from the University of Tennessee and has taught writing for years. After college, she produced Noon News for the local CBS affiliate, telling and writing stories for the faithful audience. Before becoming a mom she wrote for a home improvement show on HGTV. She has four children and chose to homeschool.

Rachel Margaillan
She studied literature and music (Baccalauréat and then three years of University), then taught music for a few years before going to Africa (Guinea) where she taught elementary children for four years in a missionary school. She also participated in educational programs in Ukraine.
She gained experience teaching private classes to children and adults. She likes to create adapt or curriculums to the needs of her students. Most of all, Rachel enjoys showing her students that French is not that complicated after all!

They are dedicated to providing quality education as well as creating an atmosphere where students can interact with one another online under the guidance of a teacher. Teacher-led courses include group instruction, time for answering questions one-on-one and grading for each assignment. All of which makes it easy for homeschool parents to document their child’s online classes and accomplishments.
