Pre-Calculus & Trigonometry
Pre-Calculus and Trigonometry students will expand their Math knowledge by adding content covering Indices and Surd laws; Inequalities; Polynomials; Graphs and Functions; Exponential and Logarithmic Functions; Trigonometric identities and rules; Radians; Vectors and Complex Numbers; Matrices for systems of equations; and number patterns and sequences.
This online, interactive class is a blended learning program in partnership with CTC Math. CTC is an award-winning computer-based math program that logically and sequentially leads students through the challenge and discovery of important math concepts. Students will have access to videos and worksheets throughout the week as assigned by their teacher. Classes will meet once per week to play math games, dive deeper into content, and preview the next week’s lessons. Students will have the opportunity to discuss mathematical problems with their peers, by looking a mathematical and logic problems. Concepts will be explored using simulations and mathematics software. The teacher is always available to answer their questions and help with students’ struggling concepts. This class is a foundational math class for high school math and will use the award-winning CTC Math program.
Pre-Calculus and Trigonometry give an essential foundation for high school students who seek to take their mathematical understanding to a higher level and prepare them for Calculus and their future math and sciences studies. This course develops flexibility, logic, and critical thinking skills!
Pair Pre Calculus and Trigonometry with Psychology, World View and Politics, Philosophy, and Economics for a robust and challenging year of learning.
