Frequently Asked Questions
What is Fix It! Grammar, and how is it different from traditional grammar programs?
Instead of isolated drills, students learn grammar concepts by editing one sentence of an ongoing fairy tale each day. We’ll edit and explore The Frog Prince, helping students apply grammar rules in context while naturally improving their writing, vocabulary, punctuation, and sentence structure.
What level of grammar knowledge does my child need to start this class?
Ideally, students will have basic knowledge of nouns, pronouns, verbs, and adjectives. This course is perfect for middle school or high school students who need a grammar refresher, need to level up their skills with advanced grammar concepts, or need a confidence boost. The class builds gradually, providing plenty of modeling and practice, to ensure skills are retained and understood.
How much time will this class take each week?
After the one-hour weekly live class, each daily lesson takes about 15-20 minutes and reinforces what was taught in class. The structure is consistent and predictable, making it easy to build a strong grammar routine.
Will my child receive feedback and support?
Yes! Students receive guidance and encouragement during class and have opportunities to ask questions and get clarification. Practice is key! The goal is to make grammar approachable and doable—not frustrating or confusing.
