Expedition Arctic is a unit study combining history, geography, science and a little bit of art to explore the fascinating arctic biome.
As we explore the world and a bit of its history, students will keep a research journal to keep their field notes and historical interviews in. Students will have notebooking pages (field notes) to print each week that may be used to complete any homework.
Our travelers will have two presentations this semester. These will be mini research projects on any topic that relates to what we cover in class. Project ideas will be included in their research notes, but students can explore any topic that interests them.
- Most required materials will be provided as downloads.
- For the art project: pastel chalks, black construction paper or cardstock, plain paper (cardstock would be helpful) and scissors. Spray fixative or hair spray is optional to set the chalk.
