Graphic design is everywhere. Billboards, TV shows, work, and yes, even homework.
This online graphic design class for high school teaches your student to make things that look like someone meant them. Over a full year in Canva Pro they work through color theory, typography, printed media, animated digital media, and the AI generation tools now built into the platform, and every project is something they can actually use: a resume that reads as professional, a poster, a set of social graphics, pieces for school or college applications.
The skills are marketable while they are still in training, which is the point. Design work can stay a supplemental income or grow into a business, and it travels with a student who wants to work from home later.
BJ Pramann teaches it as a studio: students design, bring the piece back, and learn why one layout reads clearly and another does not. The class requires desktop Canva Pro, not Canva Mobile, because the mobile app lacks features students need to finish assignments properly.
BJ Pramann is a self-taught artist and live-event speed painter who has taught art to homeschool students for over eight years.
