College Prep Literature & Composition: Exploring Political Philosophy | Semester Class, is a one-credit high school English course where students will enjoy reading, writing, and discussing works related to political discussion in the world. 

Students navigate complex decisions and shape the future through thoughtful, persuasive writing and critical analysis. With accelerated reading and writing, this 1/2 credit, 16-week course engages students with complex literary texts, analyzing themes, rhetoric, and ideology. They will develop advanced writing techniques, focusing on persuasive, analytical, and argumentative essays. Refining their ability to craft compelling arguments and address societal challenges, students will enjoy reading robust literature.

This is an excellent course to further develop and hone student’s critical thinking and writing skills. It will prepare them well for college and adult thinking, comprehensive writing, and logical reasoning as they engage with the teacher and other students through engaging in the literature.
