About Julia

Julia Jinks has a Bachelor of Science in Communications from the University of Tennessee and has taught writing for years.

After college, she produced Noon News for the local CBS affiliate, telling and writing stories for the faithful audience.

Before becoming a mom she wrote for a home improvement show on HGTV. She has four children and chose to homeschool.

Writing was her kid’s least favorite subject until they were introduced to IEW. It worked! All of her kids have benefited from the strong writing foundation that IEW has given them, and it has served them well through high school and college.

She has taught writing classes to dozens of kids along the way using the same principles. Using words to tell meaningful stories is a skill used by professionals clearly and concisely; the same principles are present within IEW in a fun and complete way. She is a children’s leader in Bible Study Fellowship and enjoys hiking in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park.
