Four Pathways, One True North: New Ways to Chart Your Student’s Year
Every good journey needs a fixed point to steer by. That’s the whole idea behind a compass — and it’s the idea behind True North Academy. This year, we’ve made it easier than ever to set your student’s course, with four clear pathways built entirely from our live, Cognia-accredited classes. No more piecing a year together and hoping the gaps close. Each pathway is a real plan, taught by real teachers who will know your student by name.
Whether your student wants a rock-solid core year, a competitive academic edge, the skills to build something of their own, or a deep look at the American story, there’s a pathway pointed right where they’re headed. Here’s a look at all four.
1. The Core 4 Program — A Complete Core Year
For the family who wants it all planned and ready
Core 4 is the simplest way to give your student a strong academic foundation. In one program, they take the four core subjects — math, science, English & literature, and history — all live, all taught by world-class teachers, fully planned and ready to go. There’s no assembling a year on your own and no wondering whether you’ve missed something. Just a complete, accredited core year, pointed True North. Core 4 comes in both a Middle School and a High School program, and every one includes free academic advising, so you’ll have an expert helping you place your student and plan the year with confidence.

2. The College-Prep Pathway — Aim Higher
For the student ready for more
For the student headed toward selective colleges, the College-Prep Pathway is a rigorous, fully accredited four-year plan — honors-weight coursework across every core subject, a world language taken to real depth, and academic electives that signal ambition to admissions officers. Think four years of English, math through pre-calculus and calculus, lab sciences from biology to anatomy, history and government, and a language like Spanish carried all the way from year one to year four. Every course is taught live in a small class, and an advisor maps the whole plan to your student — so ambition never has to mean going it alone. Set the course now, and graduation opens doors instead of raising questions.

3. The Entrepreneurship Pathway — Build Something Real
For the student who isn’t waiting for “someday”
Some students don’t just want to study business — they want to build one. This pathway begins with Entrepreneurship I, where students turn an idea into an actual venture, and surrounds it with a founder’s toolkit: personal finance, business communication, public speaking, and the creative skills to design, film, and sell. It’s a real head start toward a career — or a business of their own — on a transcript colleges and employers take seriously.
Because every family starts in a different place, the pathway comes in two live bundles. The Founder Starter is a focused three-class fall that gives a student the core of getting a venture off the ground—idea, money sense, and the communication to sell it. The Build Your Business bundle is the flagship: a complete, intentional year that layers economics and a creative skill on top of the business core. Your bundle savings apply automatically at checkout.

4. The American Studies Pathway — The American Story, Understood
For the student who loves history, ideas, and good discussion
Not just dates to memorize — the American story, understood. This pathway weaves three live classes into one coherent year: Civics, where students learn how our government actually works and their place in it; American History with Film, where iconic films bring the nation’s story vividly to life as students learn to think like historians; and Foundations of American Liberty & Government, a thoughtful, faith-friendly look at the founding documents and the big ideas behind them — and why they still matter. Three different days and teachers, no schedule conflicts, one accredited year. Studying America well means learning to love what is good in her story, reckon honestly with the rest, and understand the ideas that built her.

Why It Holds Together
Accredited, Live, and Built Around Your Student
Every one of these pathways rests on the same foundation. True North Academy is fully Cognia-accredited, which means your student’s work is recognized and travels with them — a real advantage for families who relocate, and for anyone who may re-enter a public or private school. Our teachers are subject-matter experts, our class sizes are small by design, and every class is genuinely live and dynamic.
This is how the wealthy have always educated their children — looking at the child, not the mold. We don’t just want your student prepared for the future. We want them rooted in Christ and headed True North, formed in Truth, Goodness, and Beauty.

You don’t have to choose alone — that’s exactly what academic advising is for. We sit down with your family, look at your student’s interests and strengths, weigh what the working world is asking for, and marry the two into a real plan. It’s free, and it’s the best place to begin if you find yourself asking, “Which direction is right for us?” Families first — always.
Four pathways, one fixed point to steer by. Come see what education with a difference looks like — and let us help you chart the course.
