Dawn Pasley

True North Academy Teacher

Dawn teaches ASL and facilitates the Middle School Homeroom class for True North Academy. 

Dawn is not just an ASL teacher; she’s a passionate advocate for making ASL an immersive and enjoyable experience. With years of teaching under her belt, she brings a unique blend of expertise and enthusiasm to the world of ASL education.

About Dawn

Dawn has been married to her college sweetheart for 27 years and together they have 5 children. The oldest graduated in 2021 and the youngest are 9 year old twins!

 Dawn loves to study and is interested in many things. Her latest areas of interest are ASL and Spanish, painting and singing. She has participated in Sweet Adaline’s and other small group choruses and enjoys painting as well She and her husband also volunteer for a non-profit organization that helps give grants to Christian families who adopt and the entire family takes part in the fundraisers and various activities this opportunity brings them. The family also cares for various pets.

She has taught a wide variety of classes locally, from Art & Architecture to History to high schoolers as well as music for elementary students. She has also taught and directed for classical programs.

Professional Degrees & Experience

Dawn has a Bachelor’s of Science in Elementary Education.  She has taught 4th and 5th grade Math and Science in a public school and worked as a Children’s Librarian for five years. Recenlty,  she taught online English and ESL classes to international students.  She loves teaching True North students!
