This program has been used with great success for students with Learning Disabilities, including Dyslexia, as well as students who desire to learn English as their second language. Upon completion, the certification allows you to teach the program for pay.

Perfect for parents with struggling learners, entrepreneurial young adults, and those seeking to advance their educational acumen for in-person or online teaching.

This is a phonics-based spelling program that has met with great historic and scientific success. Students learn to think in sounds rather than just by letter names. This program teaches decoding skills and a whole new way of thinking.

This program equips the educator to work with students of all ages: individuals, classes, multiple ages, special needs, learning disabilities, as well as gifted, and students seeking to learn English as a second language

This class will meet for 12 weeks (2 hours for each meeting) and follows a logical procession; from known to unknown. Concepts are reinforced in multi-sensory simultaneous ways, including visual, auditory, kinesthetic, and tactile.

  • This method of teaching how to read and spell is:
  • Efficient – scientific, reasoned, broad-based
  • Economical – uncluttered, saves time and money
  • Effective – usually, good spellers become good readers. The Reverse is often NOT true.

Students are given the opportunity to Join Answers to Literacy Team of Certified Teachers:

  • 12 weeks (24 hours) training
  • Curriculum and supplies included
  • Certificate of Achievement
  • “No Teacher Left Behind” support guarantee
  • Classes are taught online via zoom, so students can join from the privacy of their own homes. Classes are recorded so students can re-review concepts.

Carrie’s Spell to Write and Read class was amazing. Not only did I recieve certification in an Orton / Spalding instruction program, I was better equipped to help my own child with special needs. I learned so much about phonics, origins of words, and spelling that I didn’t learn in my own education. This class was very challenging however I truly feel much more equipped to successfully teach writing and spelling to children of all abilities and levels. Carrie teaches in a way that gives you a ton of resources, practice, and easily answers the question of “why” because I promise- you don’t know what you don’t know!
