Description
High School Homeroom 〉〉〉 High School aged students will have the opportunity to meet with their True North Homeschool Academy friends and work together on common goals.
Any student needing extra help will be able to schedule time during study hall if they just need a little bit of help or some answers to questions. This time can include the teacher/facilitator reviewing and editing their work, helping them to plan out their week, or even suggesting ways to be productive with their work. This is an excellent opportunity for a supervised study session which can include quizzing each other, working on projects students may have been assigned, and even figuring out Google classroom if needed. Students at this age sometimes need to have someone sitting by them and encouraging them to keep going. Elementary Homeroom is a “virtual” way to achieve some of those needs as well as providing camaraderie and fellowship to young students.
High School Homeroom will begin each week by focusing on a devotion and prayer and then work on review, managing lessons or classes, and getting to know each other! Kids just need to come. They will be met where ever they are. Dance parties may be included per students’ requests.
We will meet weekly on Fridays from 3:30 – 4:15 p.m. CST
There is no requirement for attending.
If you have children in other age groups who are attending online classes with True North Homeschool Academy, you may also be interested in Elementary Homeroom or Middle School Homeroom.
