Description
Elementary Homeroom: True North Homeschool Academy Elementary students will have the opportunity to meet with their friends and work together.
Any student enrolled in an Elementary level class may participate in homeroom. Students can begin attending anytime during the school year for the same cost.
True North students who want extra help will be able to schedule a time during study hall if they just need a little bit of help or some answers to questions. This time can include the teacher/facilitator reviewing and editing their work, helping them to plan out their week, or even suggesting ways to be productive.
This is an excellent opportunity for a supervised study session which can include students quizzing each other, working on projects and group assignments and even figuring out Google classroom if needed.
Students at this age sometimes need to have someone sitting by them and encouraging them to keep going. Elementary Homeroom is a “virtual” way to achieve some of those needs as well as providing camaraderie and fellowship to young students and safe interactions online.
Elementary Homeroom will begin each week by focusing on a time of devotion and prayer.
Students will then work on reviewing work, managing lessons or classes, and getting to know each other!
Kids just need to join online. They will be met where ever they are. Dance parties may be included per students’ requests. We will meet weekly.
There is no requirement for attending.
