n this course, students will explore authentic language materials (articles, interviews, news reports, etc.) to learn more about family, community, science and technology and other topics key to language proficiency at the intermediate (College or B1 on the CEFR scale) level. Students will build fluency and become more confident communicating about a range of topics in German.
Students will learn to apply the German language to different modes of communication in real-life situations and complete projects to demonstrate their developing knowledge of German language and culture and explore topics of personal interest.
Students will also have the opportunity to join in the monthly virtual exchange meetings with German high school students learning English.
