Adapted Science Skills is for struggling learners is designed for students who are working through High School at a much slower pace and who need additional instructional support.

Adapted Science Skills for struggling learners is designed for unique children wanting to shine and explore the science of the everyday world while learning things like Kitchen Chemistry and Biology as well as Physical Science.  Each lesson will incorporate vocabulary introduced in an applicable and hands on environment- while empowering students to learn different.

Adapted Science is designed to create a stress-free approach to academic learning.  Homework assignments will be brief and solely designed to support the learning in class.  Homework will be corrected together with the educator with an emphasis on growth, not grades.  There will be no tests, no essays, and no memorization required, but instead the occasional verbal evaluation with the educator.

Your learner will benefit from a seasoned special needs homeschool educator who will partner with you to provide support in any areas of concern.  The course is also appropriate for middle school students who can attend reasonably well in class.

• Basic Kitchen equipment
• Food readily accessible

Full Year Course – 1 Credit: The class will be taught and graded by your True North Homeschool Academy teacher. The coursework your child will complete in this high school level course is equal to one credit hour which may be awarded by your homeschool upon completion of the course. Adapted Classes  can not be used in the Sr. High Three or Six Course Bundle, but can be used for the Adapted Bundle.
